If you only take one detour, make it Rottnest Island. From snorkeling in crystal bays to snapping selfies with the famous quokkas, this paradise is unforgettable. Ferry tickets can get pricey, but don’t worry, I’ve found some great combo deals!

Bathers Beach is steps from town and ideal for a quick dip or a beachside cocktail at a restaurant where you can dine on the sand.
South Beach pulses with local culture—sunsets, music, and even dog beaches!
